Day 2 will be dedicated to discussions, research exhibitions, and presentations around tackling GBV to ease access and completion of girls’ education. sessions will bring together various organisations and individuals such as traditional and faith-based organisations, policymakers, development partners, civil society actors, etc. at the intersections of gender-based violence and education and social protection. As one of the key highlights of the Day, organisers and participants to side event will make linkages in the areas of child protection and girls’ education in Africa.
Plenary and parallel sessions will examine sociocultural, psychological, security, and economic issues that hamper girls’ access, retention, and achievement in educational environments.
